In my 8th grade year I was caught texting on my phone, we were not allowed to have our phones at school, so when I got caught I got written up and my punishment was for my phone to be taken away and I wouldn't get it back til the end of the year and I would have to be in detention for a week or so. In detention I had to write on a full paper front and back and write, "I will not bring my phone to school anymore," that would be on 2 full papers. I would also be there to clean the classroom. My detentions were after school almost everyday.
